Fabrikmusik
MND originally released one LP in 1969, but thanks to Johansson's vast archive of recordings, multiple posthumous albums appeared in the 2000s, most recently Freedom Suite in 2020 on Edition Telemark (cat. no. 903.07). Presented on this double LP are more recordings from the early 1970s, most of them made at the Fabrik ("factory") in Hamburg, a similar-minded cultural and community centre founded in 1971. Due to the differing line-ups, these recordings do not bear the MND name but were given the title "Fabrikmusik" (factory music). The centrepiece spread across sides A and B features Johansson and Eisbrenner alongside sometime collaborator Peter Dyck on cello, who are joined by Hamburg-based trumpet player Helmuth Neumann. Side C is a duo performance by MND players Johansson and Werner Götz in the Fabrik, whereas side D closes the album with a Dyck/Johansson recording from the Mariental artist commune in Lower Saxony whose history has been covered on the Freedom Suite album.
Double LP in single sleeve with two printed inner sleeves reproducing photographs by Sven-Åke Johansson.
The players are:
Peter Dyck cello
Norbert Eisbrenner electric guitar
Sven-Åke Johansson drums, piano
Werner Götz viola
Helmuth Neumann trumpet
