Polis, Wachs und Pomade

Chamber piece for strings, wind instruments and voice

Polis, Wachs und Pomade contains, as one reads and hears, the most commonly used vowels an consonants in language: and since music strives to be a language, an interplay between vowels (sounding) and consonants (silent) can be heard - whereas I had attributed a larger place (space) to the silent ones than to the sounding ones!

First performance: Donaueschinger Musiktage 2001
